About Us:

Jaxon’s Bricks for Bravery was started in 2025 in memory of Jaxon Britton. Jaxon was born in 2018 with multiple health challenges. He was a light of joy shining on the world around him and was a true heart warrior, who fought for almost six years against the CHD before passing away from complications with his heart in 2024. Jaxon spent many days in the hospital, overcoming 2 heart surgeries, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), multiple other surgeries, and endless doctor’s visits. Despite these overwhelming challenges, Jaxon brought his bright smile to everything in his life.

Throughout these numerous days in the hospital, Jaxon and his family found that being active and engaged helped everyone feel better, be more optimistic, and passed the time waiting and healing quicker. For Jaxon, the main way of filling this time quickly became building and playing with LEGO sets.

Jaxon’s Bricks for Bravery is devoted to supporting children facing medical challenges by providing unopened LEGO sets and building toys, sharing this bit of light into the difficult time other children and families are facing. Our mission is to bring joy, creativity, and hope to children facing medical challenges by collecting and donating LEGO® sets and similar building toys. We support children and families navigating illness by inspiring play, imagination, and bravery, one brick at a time.

About Jaxon:

Jaxon Bernard Britton passed away at 5 years old on the evening on November 4, 2024 at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital from his ongoing battle with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). Jaxon was a light of joy shining on the world around him and was a true heart warrior, who fought for almost six years against the CHD, overcoming 2 heart surgeries, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), multiple other surgeries, and endless doctor’s visits. Despite these overwhelming challenges, Jaxon brought his bright smile to everything in his life.

Jaxon, the son of the luckiest parents in the world, Josh and Bridget Britton, was born November 19th, 2018 in Akron, Ohio. He attended Kindergarten at Newcomerstown East Elementary School where he loved learning in Mr. Mayse’s classroom, going to daily specials, but most of all playing outside at recess. He also took regular swim lessons at the Tuscarawas County YMCA and played T-ball on the Newcomerstown Cy Young Youth League.

Jaxon touched lives everywhere he went, despite his young age. His inquisitive nature meant he filled long car rides with endless questions about animals, space, how things work, or generally anything at all that brought wonder to his mind. He loved cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers alongside his mom, snow skiing with his family, and exploring the world any way possible. Jaxon was a builder and adventurer, whether constructing worlds and stories with his many Lego sets or making up expeditions as he drove his Power Wheels truck around the yard. He dreamed big dreams, saying he wanted to grow up to be a pilot, an astronaut, and a dad.
